The Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch Bernkasteler-Kues Riesling Alte Reben is the estates VDP Ortswein (village wine). It originates from high quality parcels with old vines (Alte Reben) which are now in excess of 40 years old. This wine ranks in between the previous estate wine and the single vineyard expressions. A slaty mineral nose with fine white flower perfume. The palate is strikingly intense, the zinging green citrus fruit backed up beautifully by wet-stone minerality.
