The 2019 vintage, hailed by Vinous Eric Guido as an embarrassment of riches for collectors, has earned yet another perfect score, and shows Brunello at its most powerful and refined. Valdicavas style is bold and concentrated, with incredible energy, minerality, and purity of fruit. On the nose, expect an intoxicating mix of cardamom, cumin, earth, pepper, chalk, violets, tar, and dark berries.

Crucially, while the wine leans toward the modern side, oak use is beautifully restrainedproviding structure without overshadowing the wines elegance or sense of place.
