We’ve been waiting a long time to release The Norfolk Popcorn. Several years ago, we spent some time experimenting with Bourbon-type ingredients and eventually settled on a top-secret mix of maize, rye, and barley as our core cereals. The resulting matured whisky has caused huge excitement within the distillery, as it is far better than ever predicted. Recent feedback from our members has been wonderful, with some saying it tastes Bourbon-esque, while others describe it as incredibly easy to drinkrich and smooth. For those wondering why it’s called Popcorn, the whisky is made using lots of maize, just like popcorn.

Crafted by The English Whisky Company, this innovative spirit showcases the creativity and passion behind their distilling process. Our grain whiskies have always been different, opening up a new world of whisky to those lucky enough to taste them. The Norfolk Popcorn continues this tradition and takes it further, with a flavour profile reminiscent of top-notch bourbon.

Aroma & Finish

The aroma gives you wafts of honeycomb, chocolate, and sourdough bread. Take a sip, and those aromas are replaced with wonderful notes of toffee apple, nuts, and gentle wood, with just a hint of pepper. Leave the whisky in the glass for a while, and the pepper disappears, giving way to sweet vanilla. One team member perfectly described the finish: The finish is just magnificent, warming and feels like a hug in a glass.

This limited edition whisky is non-chill filtered with natural colouring, making it a true expression of quality.
