The Kahkuri No8 is a blend of 4 indigenous Georgian grape varieties, Rkatsiteli, Kahkuri Mtsvane, Khikhvi and Kisi. These are hand selected and picked before being fermented on the skins for around a week with a further 6 months skin contact to extract colour, tannins, texture and allow the development of flavours within the wine. It’s full of rich dried fruits and lightly toasted nuts. This is best enjoyed around room temperature or pop it in the fridge for around 10 minutes before serving, if the wine is too cold the tannins overpower the complex flavours. A really interesting wine to try with all sorts of cheeses, aged gouda would workgreat.
