ORGANIC/VEGAN/NO ADDED SULPHITES
A lovely, summery party wine, with deep red fruit flavours and gentle tannins on the palate. It has flavours of strawberry, watermelon and juicy red cherry, with a refreshing salinity and acidity reminiscent of its coastal terroir. A touch of savouryness on the finish makes it a great option for pairing with food, but this will impress equally well on its own around friends.
Albert Canela and Maria Vendrell started making wine in 2011. Located in Conca de Barber in Catalonia, they farm organically and champion indigenous grape varities like Trepat, Parellada and Ull de Llebre. Their vibrant wines are a refreshing departure from the region’s traditional focus on Cava and cheap, mass-produced ros, and hardwork, minimal intervention and the use of indigenous yeasts produce wines that showcase the true essence of the region. Minimal sulphur is used in their winemaking, resulting in exceptional wines with a genuine sense of place.
