A super light, super fun red fromSergio Arcuri down in the south of Italy. It’s essentially a blend of all his vines across multiple plots, which is mostly comprised of the local red Gaglioppo grape (like a lighter, more saline Nebbiolo) but with a handful of whiteGuardavalle grapes thrown in there as well. The result is a wine similar to the ever-popular Thirst:bright, light, and crunchy, with notes of cranberry, sour cherry and a slightfunky savouriness as well. Best served chilled to highlight the crunchy tannins and zingy acidity.
