This striking Do red, crafted from a predominantly field-blended mix of indigenous varieties with a touch of Touriga Nacional and Alfrocheiro, is a brilliant showcase of the regions rugged charm and elegance. Grown organically at 500 metres on granite-rich soils, the wine bursts from the glass with heady aromas of wild blackberry, crushed violets, black pepper, and a whisper of forest floor.
On the palate, it’s both generous and finely tuned layers of juicy dark fruit and spiced plum are wrapped in supple tannins, with a lift of freshness thanks to the high-altitude vineyards.
