Grapes for the Mandrarossa Cartagho Nero d’Avola are sourced from vineyards located in Menfi on the south-western coast of Sicily. Matured for 12 months in barriques and a further four months in bottle before release, this is an approachable, balanced and robust Nero d’Avola, typical of good quality Sicilian wines with a unique character, soft approachable fruit and a mineral quality on the finish. Intense red in colour with purple reflections, the nose displays powerful aromas of blackberries and cherries.
