The emphasis of Maison Roche de Bellene is on well-sited venerable vines and viticulture and providing a source of attractive, well-priced Burgundy wines. Nicolas chose the name Bellene’ in honour of the ancient Roman name for Beaune. Santenay is the most southerly village appellation of the Cte d’Or and contains a number of Premier Cru vineyards providing a good source of reliable and good-value red Burgundy.
