An Invitation to Elegance

Chapoutier’s Condrieu ‘Invitare’ 2022 is more than just a wine; its an invitation to share a moment of friendship. The name, derived from Latin, alludes to the ancient traditions that continue to thrive in the Rhne region to this day. Like the famed Cte-Rotie, the Condrieu vineyard has a history that stretches back to Roman times, making this wine a true reflection of its storied heritage.

Tasting Notes:

This deep golden-yellow wine exudes vibrant aromas of exotic fruits like pineapple, lychee, and apricot, alongside floral notes of acacia blossom. On the palate, it is well-rounded and generous, with flavours of ripe peach and a subtle hint of vanilla that leads to a long, elegant finish. The freshness and minerality of the fruit are beautifully preserved, making each sip a testament to the terroir.

Perfect Serve:

Serve at 10-12C to best appreciate the balance of fruit and complexity. This wine is a natural companion to refined dishes such as lobster, grilled scallops, or creamy chicken, as well as soft cheeses like brie or camembert.

Artisan Craftsmanship:

Made from 100% hand-harvested Viognier grapes, the Condrieu Invitare undergoes a short ageing period of approximately 8 months on its lees to preserve the fresh and varietal character of the Viognier grape. The maturation process involves 15% of the wine aged in new oak barrels to maintain the freshness of the fruit, while the remaining 85% is aged in one- and two-year-old demi-muids, imparting depth, consistency, and aromatic complexity.
