Loredan Gasparini are vine growers based in Montello, a natural oasis 50km from Venice. Founder Piero Loredan Gasparini was a charismatic figure who brought Bordeaux varietals to the Montello area in the 1950s. A decade later, his wines became a favourite of French President Charles de Gaulle.

Piero then passed the baton on to Giancarlo Palla in 1973. Who saw the potential to produce vibrant sparkling wines there too. He became one of the first producers in the area to make both traditional method sparkling wine and Prosecco, even obtaining the Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG in 2009.

Capo di Stato was created by Count Loredan for special occasions in the city of Venice. It had so many heads of state among its admirers that it was named as such. Capo di Stato is Italian for Head of State. This is a Bordeaux blend with true personality and aromatic originality.
