The wines of Margaux tend to show more perfume and roundness than neighbours St-Julien, Pauillac, and St-Estphe, whilst retaining a certain structure and concentration. Margaux is the most southerly and most extensive of the famous Mdoc communes, andChteau Dauzac is located right at the heart of it.
Labastide Dauzac is producedfrom grapes grown on a selection of plots with a mineral composition that combines old sands and a deep layer of gravels, planted with younger vines, which confers it real typicity.
The result is a supple wine which can be consumed earlier than some of the estates grander wines, although the use of traditional maturing techniques guarantees it will age well.
