Kumeu River Wines was established in 1944 when Mick and Kat Brajkovich and their son Mat first came to the small country settlement of Kumeu, about 20 km north-west of Auckland City. From the pioneering days to the establishment of the New Zealand wine industry to today, the Brajkovich family have been internationally recognised as producing world class wine. Now headed up byMat’s son Michael- the first New Zealander to become a Master of Wine – the estate goes from strength to strength.

Crmant is effectively Champagne-style sparkling wine, but made outside of the Champagne region – in this case, Auckland, New Zealand! For their crmant, Kumeu River have blended Pinot Noir and Chardonnay together to create a deliciously dry and perfectly pink crmant. The aromas of summer sparkle from the glass; freshly picked strawberries and white stone fruit build the texture and mouth feel we really enjoy from our Kumeu crmant.
