Few Italian Chardonnays have achieved the recognition of Jermanns ‘Where Dreams Have No End’. First released after the 1987 harvest, the wine was born from Silvio Jermanns determination to show that Friuli could produce whites with the same ambition and complexity as the worlds best. Its name nods to U2sThe Joshua Tree album, and over the years the label has gone through a series of creative reinventions. It’s even had a cameo in Hollywood Film The Parent Trap, where it sat on screen alongside Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson. Decades on, it has become one of Italys most distinctive expressions of Chardonnay, a benchmark that continues to demonstrate just how much depth Friuli can bring to this classic grape.

The grapes come from Friulis distinctive ponca soils, a mix of ancient marl and sandstone that lends both structure and a mineral edge. The regions position between the Alps and the Adriatic brings diurnal range, with warm days for ripeness, cool nights for freshness. This creates a nice richness to the wine, along with tension and lift.

Aromas of ripe stone fruit, pineapple and citrus peel unfold against hints of butter, vanilla and pastry. The palate is broad yet well-defined. Creamy in texture, it is layered with orchard and tropical fruit, cut through with freshness and a long, savoury finish. Its a wine that delivers generosity without excess.
