Tasting Note

Raasay’s signature style is a lightly peated single malt balanced with rich dark fruit flavours. Inspired by some older style Hebridean single malts.

Theyset out to emulate some older styles of Hebridean single malt whiskies, with subtle, fragrant smokiness balanced with dark fruit flavours.

The magical Isle of Raasay lies of the west coast of Scotland in the inner Hebrides just off the Isle of Skye. Rooted in centuries of distilling Raasay provides the ingredients for the perfect spirit and every drop is made on the island using water from the Raasay distillery well.

Two Isle of Raasay spirits peated and unpeated are matured separately in first fill Rye whiskey, fresh Chinkapin oak and first fill Bordeaux red wine casks.

These six recipe casks marry together to create the perfect dram with real elegance, complexity and depth of character.

Every drop of spirit is distilled, matured and bottled on the Isle of Raasay using water from our well: Tobar na Ba Bine (the Well of the Pale Cow).
