Product Description

We are now approaching nearly 200 years of being able to sample this most illustrious of Malts, albeit illegally for the first 2 years of its production back in 1824 when the distillerys founder, George Smith, first started creating his Malt Whisky. He wasnt alone making the most of their remoteness in creating illicit whisky then, but he was one of the first in Glenlivet to gain a licence following legislation changes in 1826.
