This Zinfandel has been grown in the Paso Robles area of California, known for its extreme heat, nutrient deficient soils and cool nights. As a grape it suits these conditions perfectly, expressing its best characteristics through lower yields, light water scarcity and intense sunlight for ripening. This has flavours of black cherry, dark plum and a toasty note on the end.
