Domaine Leflaive have been developing vineyards in the Mconnais since 2004 including Mcon-Solutr-Pouilly, Mcon-Verz, Pouilly-Fuiss and Saint-Veran. Faithful to the Domaine’s philosophy the vines are grown adopting a biodynamic approach by a dedicated team. The harvest is manual and the wines are aged in the Mconnais tradition in a dedicated cellar. The bottles produced this way are labelled “Domaines Leflaive”. Domaines Leflaive cultivates 2.16 hectares in the appellation of Pouilly-Fuiss, the flagship region of the Mconnais. The wine is aged for up to 16 months in oak (75%) of which 15% is new oak and the remaining 25% in cement eggs, before a further 6 months in stainless steel vats. Theres fine concentration to this white, lending viscosity to the texture and embracing flavors of peach, white flowers and honeydew melon. Light baking spice and pastry notes linger on the finish.
