Domaine de Villaine is the private holding of Aubert de Villaine, the co-owner of Domaine de la Romane-Conti, which is now managed by his nephew Pierre de Benost. It is here in the village of Bouzeron that the white Aligot grape is allowed to truly flourish, by being planted on the best terroir, on the slopes, leading to ripe, honeyed fruit and an elegant mineral backbone. True to its varietal nature, the Domaine de Villaine Bouzeron is a lively, fruity wine, but it also has a finesse and roundness that spring from the essential nature of the terroir.
