Lovely Gamay from an unexplored region lying right at the source of the Loire, around 60km away from Beaujolais. The volcanic soils of the region lend this wine a powerful minerality and hint of smokiness. It is characteristically light on the palate, although carries concentrated dark berry flavours to complement its floral aromas. Complex, concentrated, and structured; the low tannins and bright acidity, alongside a slight bitterness, make this a great food wine.

JolLapalue started his vineyard in 1994, going organic from the beginning and being the sole local producer to do so for close to a decade. The farm is holistic, with lambs and sheep providing meat and cheese for consumers, as well as manure to fertilise the vines.
