The stand-out Pomerol at the Union des Grands Cru tasting for us, stuffed with classy black and red fruit, very suave in the mouth for this year – finesse yet plenty of stuffing. It feels plush, unlike many, with ripeness and structure, yet very much under control. the finish is swish and elegant. Certainly special this vintage and dropped to a decent price for this quality. Very good mid-term drinking.
