The fifth generation of a local winemaking family Frank and Muriel Mousset created Domaine de Saumades in 1995. The Domaine is tiny, only 2.5 hectares of vines, all overseen by the family. Such a limited production allows the Moussets to focus on growing the very highest quality fruit which as we know is the basis for producing the highest quality wines.

Franck and Murielle are certainly in the modernist camp in Chteauneuf and their wines are powerful and fruit driven, with the ability to develop into graceful examples from this region.
