The history of this beautiful 70-hectare vineyard next to the ChteauxMontroseand Calon-Sgur is intimately linked to the creation of the Mdoc. Founded in 1810 by Bernard Phlan, an Irishman by birth, the estate would later be developed by his son Frank, becoming the Chteau Phlan Sgur at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, Phlan Sgur is hailed as one of the best Saint-Estphes, in the purest tradition and with definite laying-down potential! This vintage is the perfect example and a major triumph for the winery.
