A cracking wine from Fronsac. Bordeaux with real old-world charm. Chteau Mayne Vieil is rustic and warm with great earthy aromas and a satisfying finish. Pretty ruby red with just a touch of development showing at the rim. The wine is a nice, clean relatively gentle style of claret with a leafy redcurrant character and just a whistle of underlying richness and earthiness. Well worth a try if you fancy a good Bordeauxat a very good price.
