Baglio Gibellina is situated in picturesque Sicily where its vineyards are surrounded by the hills of Salemi and Santa Ninfa.

Old vineyards located between 300-600m above sea level are grown on a mixture of clay and volcanic soils with limited yields allowing for the production of outstanding wines with incredible food matching potential.

Vineyards

The vines are located on hill with a south facing exposure and are cultivated in the espalier system.

Vinification

Grapes are harvested by hand in the first half of September, and are vinified in small stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15C.

Tasting Notes

An intense ruby red with a complex and spicy aroma, warm bramble fruit and a persistent finish.

Delicious with butternut squash risotto, red meats and matured cheeses.
