In 1885, Amaro Montenegro came into existence under the name Elisir Lungavita, and it swiftly gained significant recognition. Eleven years later, to honor the union of Princess Elena of Montenegro and Prince Vittorio Emanuele III, Stanislao chose to dedicate his legendary elixir to her royal highness, renaming it Amaro Montenegro.
