The Achaval Ferrer Quimera is a unique red wine blend made from a composition of Malbec (48%), Merlot (13%), Cabernet Franc (18%), Cabernet Sauvignon (19%) and Petit Verdot (2%) grapes. After each variety is fermented independently the final blend is done prior to barrel ageing for 13 months in French oak barrels – 60% new and 40% second fill.The resulting wine is enticingly complex with a broad range of aromas with sweet tobacco, blueberries, cedar rosemary, liquorice and violets.
