An excellent Sociando this year, winemaker Franois Hugueniot has tamed the terroir here, just north of Saint-Estphe, to make a wine full of depth and character with good black fruit, ripe, sappy tannins and long length. It still has the trademark minerality and structure but there is balance with the fruit and this will be less challenging when young than in years gone by.5 to 15 years.
