Located in the foothills of Cape Fold Mountains on the Western Cape of South Africa, with its Mediterranean climate of hot summers and cool wet winters, the region provides ideal grape growing conditions. The terroir of the region adds a subtle complexity to Cape wines. This 80% Shiraz/20% Pinotage greets the drinker with notes of bright red berries and spice. It is vibrant and youthful in color. The palate is round and smooth with soft, ripe tannins and has a long, fruity finish. We recommend pairing with braised meats. Gamier meats will help magnify this wines inherent smokiness.
