Trastullo Primitivo

• This primitivo is deep red in colour with fresh varietal aromas, such as blackberry and cherry

This red wine is a great match for a wide selection of red meat dishes, including steak and venison.

Trastullo Primitivo is a ripasso style whereby the grapes are picked in two separate harvests. The wine from the first harvest goes through a second fermentation with the grape skins from the second, later harvest to give the wine extra body, a more velvety texture, and riper fruit flavours.

Ageing the final blend in barrel for 3-6 months to harmonise and soften the wine and add extra spicy complexity.
