It is no understatement to say Kamptal is ‘as old as the hills.’ One statement from Allram is that Kamptal is a million years in the making. The geology is made up of two important rock soils types, Gneiss and Lss, the primordial Gneiss gives the wine a great minerality and the ice age sand Lss gives the salinity and elegant spicy notes.

The second important aspect of Kamptal is that it has two climactic forces that fluctuate the temperature, meaning that the wines benefit from daytime heat and cool, sometimes very cool, nights. This in result gives the grapes good structure and complexity whilst retains a lively acidity. The grapes are also sustainably and organically produced.

Finally, Allram ferment the wine at a cool temperature, which helps to retain the floral and fruity aromas and tastes, meaning that this wine is clean and crisp. It has fantastic aromas and good up front fruit characters, apples and citrus, which are supported by a mineral backbone and good acidity. A deliciousGrner.
