Crisp, aromatic and elegantthis Viognier is a bright and expressive white from Chiles cool Limar Valley.
This Viognier opens with vivid aromas of citrus, orange peel, dried apricot, white peach and a hint of candied fruit. On the palate, floral and honeyed notes blend seamlessly with juicy pear and peach flavours, all lifted by a chalky minerality typical of Limar. Bright, clean and silky, it finishes with great purity and texture.

“Viognier can be an exciting and exotic grape and a good alternative for fans of tropical unoaked Chardonnay. If you’ve never tried it, this lovely Chilean example is a great place to start.”
Tabal is a pioneering winery in Chiles Limar Valley, founded in 2002 and renowned for producing vibrant, terroir-driven wines. Their vineyards stretch from the Andes down close to the Pacific, and the coastal fog (camanchaca) brings welcome coolness, making Limar one of Chiles coolest growing regions.
The Pedregoso Gran Reserva Viognier comes from the Espinal estate and nearby vineyards planted on calcareous, alluvial soils. Whole-bunch pressing preserves acidity and freshness, and the juice is cold-decanted before gentle fermentation with selected yeasts. The wine sees no oak just stainless steel purity – highlighting fruit clarity and the regions minerality. Fermentation and ageing happen in steel until bottling.
Tabals Pedregoso shows how well Viognier can shine when treated with care. Fresh, expressive and impeccably balanced – this is one of Chiles finest white wines, brilliant with seafood and spicy food or simply served on a warm evening.
