Palo Cortados are a very rare type of sherrythat are initially aged underflorto become afinooramontillado, but inexplicably loses its veil of flor and begins agingoxidativelyas anoloroso. The result is a wine with some of the richness of oloroso and some of the crispness of amontillado. Only about 12% of the grapespressedfor sherry naturally develop into palo cortado.

This wine has been aged in a solera system for around 18 years. A pale mahogany in colour with notes of walnuts, orange zest and dried fruits with a slight salty tang on the finish which lifts the palate. Very long and complex.
