About the Producer

The Cave de Pomrols was founded in 1932 and has since then steadily grown and prospered and has seen a great deal of modernisation since then! The vineyards benefit from a temperate Mediterranean climate.

Vineyard and Winery

The vines are planted on terraces of clay-limestone overlooking theEtang de Thau. The vineyard and winemaking practises modernise constantly to cope with the changes in climate. There is a bit of tradition still, they ferment with cold vinification to retain the lovely primary fruit, these days though they are blessed with temperature controlled tanks for this purpose. Vinalthau Chardonnay is aged for a short time in vats prior to bottling and distribution.
