Festival was Loxwood Meadworks first, signature product a crisp, refreshing and delicately sweet honey wine, designed for the modern palate. There passion is to create a drink similar to wine that would be stimulating to the adventurous wine drinkers palate.

Its fermented dry then back-sweetened with honey for natural flavour. This off-dry mead is full of citrus, vanilla and floral flavours. A balance of fresh and delicately sweet, it can be enjoyed on its own, chilled or over ice. For a festive twist, mull with cinnamon and spices and serve warm as a delicious mulled mead.

Pairs well with pork belly, squash risotto or a roasted chicken. Cheese pairs well but an aged Goats Cheese, like Golden Cross from Sussex will be perfect. Finally, anything that pairs with or is cooked with honey is a treat.
