The first official Prosecco DOC Ros was finally approved by the Consorzio Tutela del Prosecco in 2021. Made from Glera and between 10-15% Pinot Noir, the yields for each variety are restricted, they will be Millesimato (or vintage) with at least 85% of the grapes coming from the specified year. For this vintage Prosecco Ros, Le Colture combineGlera (85%) grapes from their own vineyards on Montello hill and Pinot Noir (15%) grapes that are bought in specially. Light antique pink in colour, it displays typical Glera aromas alongside hints of small red berry fruits.
