Absolutely tremendous value. And we love the labels with the orange letters representing Pepe’s brothers and the reds his brothers. The wine itself is gently aged in French oak barrels ensuring a subtle vanilla background to the wine. Otherwise this is classic Malbec at its best- silky spice and full of berried flavours. Definitely one for Casseroles and a hearty roast.

Pepe Gomez is the head winemaker at Finca Agostino and is most certainly a man to watch- His wines are of a very high class indeed. He’s not one to ignore technology either, seeing it as a way to enhance what nature has to offer rather than to try to manipulate his wines. Grapes are sourced from Finca Agostino’s vineyards in Maipu, Barrancas and El Cepillo all of which lay around Mendoza with its dramatic backdrop of the Andes Mountains.
