Long occupying one of Tuscany’s most scenic sites, Argiano’s Brunello is always one of the absolute stars of the south in Montalcino, no doubt partly due to the prevalence of the mineral-rich marl in its clay limestone soil, also found in the hill of Montosoli further north (the region’s true “Grand Cru” according to Vinous’ Eric Guido), lending the wines added finesse and complexity which sets them apart from their neighbours.

There is always extra lift and freshness in the wines thanks to the cooling influence of the Mediterranean.
