Plantation Xaymaca Special Dry Rum is a very complex, slightly smoky and meaty rum with fruity, herbal and sour notes building up. Next vanilla comes forward, almost pastry-like, with cooked banana, bitter orange peel and ripe pineapple. On the palate it is dry, with a more floral and fruitier profile of rose water, pear, white grape, apricot and candy-apple. Next some coconut milk, balsam, allspice, bread and nuts emerge.
