The Chteau Oumsiyat Cuve Membliarus is named after the Phoenician governor of Santorini. The Assyrtico grapes for this wine are grown at over 1,000 metres elevation in the beautiful Bekaa Valley, between Mount Lebanon to the west and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains to the east. The altitude, microclimate and soils combine in this ancient terroir to produce fresh wines with a very Mediterranean feel. With a touch of Sauvignon Blanc (5%) and Viognier (4%) added to the composition this wonderful Assyrtiko displays subtle aromas of white fruits and flinty mineral notes, framed by a delicate floral character. Linear on the palate with a wonderfully refreshing and mouthwatering finish.[#intro]A wonderful Lebanese expression of the increasingly fashionable Assyrtico grape…[/intro]
