Doorly’s 12YO Barbados Rum

Doorly’s 12YO Barbados Rum is a very smooth tipple after a decade of ageing, with supple notes of tropical fruit (banana, pineapple), rich caramel/toffee and hints of tobacco, without being overly sweet.

This rum is a blend of 12 year old ex-bourbon cask and 12 year old ex-madeira cask rums, bottled without any sweetener or flavourings.

RL Seale is one of Barbados oldest trading houses, a family-owned business whose involvement in rum making extends from father-to-son since 1820.

Current head distiller, Richard Seale, is one of the regions most innovative distillers and blenders and has a passion for producing perfect rum with great flavour.

This is one of those rums that could turn whiskey and bourbon drinkers over to rum.

Many whiskey drinkers don’t explore rum because they think it is either to sweet or all tastes like Morgan and Bacardi gold. This one shows that even bargain rums can have depth and complexity.
