Tasting Note

This wine has complex aromas of citrus and tropical fruits with hints of floral notes and a refreshing mineral character on the palate. There is also subtle, well integrated notes of oak producing a full and creamy mouthfeel. The finish is long and frsh – great value for money!

Producer

Having honed his winemaking skills around the globe, Castello dAlba winemaker Rui Madeira has returned to the land of his birth to work with the indigenous varieties and spectacular vineyards of the Douro. The estate is found in the upper Douro, on the rivers left bank, amongst the grade-A vineyards where the best vintage ports are made. Here the combination of old vines and high altitudes give his wines the balance, poise and sense of place that is so often lacking in the region.
