A refined evolution on The Lakes’s journey to define a sherry-led signature style, The Whiskymakers Reserve No.7 has matured in the finest Oloroso, PX and red wine casks.
The Lakes Distillery in Cockermouth is within the Lake District National Park in the north of England. It is the first whisky distillery operating in the Lakes for over 100 years. Paul Currie was a veteran of the Scottish Whisky industry and saw the potential in the area. After renovating an old dairy farm they were able to bring that vision to reality. Together with whiskymaker Dhavall Gandhi they set about creating a unpeated, sherried whisky that was distinctive for the place, and continue to create and innovate through new editions.
