Graham’s Port, owned by the Symington family, have been producing port in the Douro Valley since 1882. Their 50 year old Tawny port is the work of two generations of Master Blenders, Peter Symington and his son Charles.

This blend includes a wine from 1969, ‘CAS Reserve’, set aside by Peter Symington to mark Charles’ birth. Wines from 1970 and 1973, blended together in 1982, make up the rest. With such age, these wines are well-integrated and exceptionally concentrated.

Wooden cask aging gives the port a deep orange-brown hue and layered aromas of orange peel, fruitcake, molasses and tobacco. It has a rich and decadent mouthfeel, spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg. The tannins are silky and the acidity brings balance. This is an expertly crafted Tawny port.

Best enjoyed slightly chilled, either with, or for, dessert! Would pair brilliantly with a more mature cheese, or with a rich chocolate truffle.

A perfect present for a 50th birthday! The gift box is equally fitting, decorated on the interior with designs by Portuguese illustrator Mariana Rodrigues to reflect the flora and fauna of the Douro Valley.
