Transcontinental Rum Line is inspired by the trade and great voyages of rum between the country of production and its maturation conditions. The origin of distillation and maturation environment all play a part in the story of these great rums; TCRL seeks to celebrate the stylistic diversity and vast spectrum of flavours and aromas that lie within the rum category, selecting rums that are shining examples of the style of their origin.

Australia 2014

A limited-edition 2014 Australian rum from Transcontinental Rum Line that was distilled in Queensland at the Beenleigh rum distillery and initially matured in Australia for five years, in American oak casks, before being transported to Europe for a further two years aging in ex-Cognac casks.

Transcontinental rums are bottled with natural colour and have no added sugar.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of baking spices, oak, cinnamon, dried apricots, raisins and sultanas fill the nose, complemented by notes of apples, mandarins, garden herbs, sage, cherries, liquorice, vanilla and rose petals throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.
