Ross-on-Wye NOT Ball’s Bittersweet Cider has a great story behind it. This Bittersweet cider apple variety is a favourite of the Johnson family. The trees were planted in the late 1980s as Balls Bittersweet, only for DNA identification in 2022 to reveal that they were NOT Ball’s Bittersweet. They actually had a completely unknown genetic profile.
