Tasting Note

Domaine Sorine Bourgogne Pinot Noir is a beautifully light, fresh, and elegant red with bright red cherry, raspberry, and a hint of earthy spice. Its smooth texture and balanced acidity make it an easy, enjoyable sip. There’s a subtle complexity with touches of dried herbs and a silky finish. This is a classic, everyday Burgundy that delivers finesse without being too heavy – perfect for those who love a lively, vibrant Pinot Noir.

Try this with roasted duck or pork loin, as well as a vegetarian mushroom tart or a simple lentil stew.

Kate Says

Producer Info

The Sorine are one of the oldest families in the village of Santenay. After abandoning the vineyard following the phylloxera crisis, Charles Sorine took over the vines in 1925. In 1987, Christian joined his father on the farm. Emma joined him in 2009. Together, they have restored a magnificent building in Cheilly-ls-Maranges including a cellar for sale and tasting and cellars of the 15th and 18th century allowing the aging in barrels of all their cuves. They manage their vineyards according to biodymanic principles and gently filter the wines on site with very little added sulpur.

The red wines, made from the Pinot Noir grapes are grown on vines over 50 years old. They are aged for 12 to 15 months in oak barrels (20 to 30% new wood). The result is elegant, fruity wines with a lot of complexity that, are built for ageing.
